What EXACTLY do people mean by writing style?
Q. I've been writing since 2nd grade (I'm 23 now) and still don't quite grasp what people mean by your writing style. I've been complimented on mine a numerous occasions (not boasting or bragging) and still have no clue as to WHAT exactly they were referring to. The thoughts flow and I just write! I'm not trying or pursuing any particular "style." What comprises a style anyway? What elements are they most likely referring to?

A lawyer uses persuasive writing, a car salesman will use a… [cont.]
